Huawei gathered bloggers for smart phones introduction

Huawei gathered bloggers for smart phones introductionHuawei arranged a bloggers’ meet-up at Lahore on Thursday last week which was focused on introducing the 5 devices which were recently launched by Huawei. Although such meetup would have been more effective if it was conducted before the launch of these devices but still the event was a good chance for bloggers to see what the Chinese giant is up to.
Mr. Salman Muazzam, marketing manager of Huawei gave a presentation about the smart phone market in the world, the growth opportunities it presents despite worldwide recession and how Huawei fits in the equation. The presentation provided unique insight into the strategy adopted by Huawei globally as it aims to compete with the big guns in smart phone market. The presentation lacked byte after the first few slides as specifications of all five models were read out and the contingent present at the event lost interest and started examining the Huawei test devices available at the event.
Mr. Bruce Fanhong, Director Terminal Devices Huawei Pakistan was at hand to shed light on the marketing strategy of Huawei and answered bloggers’ questions in detail. He was adamant that the upcoming Emotion UI by Huawei will be a game changer and set the Chinese brand on the right course. He told the audience that Huawei will be launching feature phones and expanding its device line-up significantly in the coming year.  Bruce Said:
“We want to rise from the Chinese stereotype and be ranked with the best brands around the globe.”
The Huawei team, however, was left clueless when a question about limited battery time of smart phones in general was asked.
Mr. Muzaffar Hayat Paracha, Managing Director of Air Link, the official distributor of Huawei in Pakistan encouraged bloggers to provide their feedback to the company in order to enable it to further improve the devices and help Huawei establish itself as one of the leading brands in the country.
