
Company released a report that says Mobilink’s parent company Vimpelcom is determined to invest USD 1 billion in the local operation for expanding and strengthening the network infrastructure as well as provision of 3G services in Pakistan when the license is finally auctioned. So that the mobile operator could maintain its lead in the coming years as well.
The report further says, in 2012 Mobilink acquired latest Ericsson Intelligent Network that has helped company offer many exciting packages for its customers. Apart from this, its largest network with more than 9000 cell-sites Mobilink can rightfully claim the most robust network for both voice and data services in Pakistan.
Customer care remained a focal point in the year 2012. Mobilink introduced multilingual IVR and agent services (English, Urdu, Pushto, Sindhi) to address the needs of regional customers. Additionally, a virtual contact center was established to ensure sustained quality customer experience. With 20 Customer Care Centers in 14 cities and 432 Franchises in 256 cities & towns, Mobilink has the largest sales and customer care channel in Pakistan serving 36 million subscribers round the clock.
The mobile operator did not stop here, on the financial services end Mobilink in association with its subsidiary Waseela bank launched mobile financial services – Mobicash. Within first month, company expanded its financial outlets to 5000 retail points.
Mobilink says, it believes in returning to society through its social responsibility initiatives. Mobilink Foundation has been helping people in the fields of education and health. During 2012 Mobilink Foundation reached out to the flood affected of South Punjab and Balochistan with food relief for nearly 28,000 people.
