Why Gamers Are Gearing Up For Assassins Creed 3 ? Small Guide

Assassin’s Creed was one of the most ground breaking games ever. The game play, the game mechanics and the world that the game was set in, made it an instant hit for gamers across the globe. Developed by Ubisoft, Assassin’s Creed 3 is one of the most eagerly anticipated titles of 2012. It is slated to be released on October 30th. This game is a direct sequel to Assassin’s Creed: Revelations. Trailers of Assassin’s Creed 3 reveal juicy bits of how this game is going to enhance the storyline of the franchise.
This game is set in the eighteenth century and revolves around the exploits of Connor Kenway who fought in the American Revolution. The trailer also features Aveline who is a French-African assassin caught in the midst of the Louisiana Rebellion. Aveline is the daughter of an African slave and French diplomat. She lives in New Orleans and is victim of cross marriages between blacks and foreign sailors that reduce her social status. The trailer offers tantalizing glimpses of Aveline in masculine assassin gear, ragged clothing and royal attire which leaves one to wonder the direction that the new game is likely to take.
If you look at it from the promised improvements in game play, the game seems even more exciting. This franchise is built on the requirement of the player understanding his interactions with theenvironment. The new Anvil game engine is expected to improve the environmental effects. Early reviewers of the game have reported that the game shows changes in seasons which also affect game play. For example in winter, lakes and rivers will be frozen, and obstructions like soldiers stumble and have clumsy movements. An interesting quirk of the Assassin’s Creed series is that the assassins cannot swim. So, frozen lakes and rivers give you the opportunity to cross them and access new areas.
The game engine promises to depict hundreds of troops engaged in battle with more detailed close ups than before. Some of the new features in the game include changes in the game economy. Connor will now be allowed to hunt animals and trade them for goods. The value of the animal hunted goes up with the quality of the kill. The game also brings back the regenerative health system of the first game. Platform levels like Assassin Tombs are also slated to make a comeback in this edition. A wide variety of weapons have also been included beyond the hidden blades. Connor can now use tomahawks and flintlock pistols.
